New student parents evening 25th Sept

Our parent’s evening for new students took place on Wednesday evening. This was a great opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s tutor and dis-cuss how the first few weeks of term have gone.

We are anxious to be sure that students are settled, happy and feel that their academic progress is being challenged.

It was great to hear so many positive comments about the school and we are delighted that students have been enjoying their first term.

We will be holding our first assessments in three weeks time and our exam week is in the first week in December. We will then have a series of parent’s evenings which will be an opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss academic progress in detail.

GCSE & A level art trip

This week’s assembly was an opportunity to award some prizes to students who took part in a writing completion at the end of last academic year. Students had to write a 100 work short science fiction piece about the collapse of organised society. Mr Corcut spoke about the meaning of success and the completion itself and then students were given the opportunity to read their piece to the school. Congratulations to all those students who took part but especially to Jash, Vonley, Malek and Jacob who won prizes and who read their story.
