We welcome applications from children who have been identified as having additional educational needs (e.g. Speech, Language and Communication needs, Autism Specialist Provision, or a Specific Learning Difficulty such as dyslexia). We have a number of staff specifically trained in this area. Mark Yearsley is the acting SENCo, while Monika Voychik is an Educational Psychologist who works to support children individually as required.

Our small class sizes enable teachers to support all children in flourishing academically and emotionally. Our academic programme is also flexible enough for additional time to be provided to individual children as required. All students are part of the same friendly, tolerant and diverse community which was praised in our recent ISI Educational Quality Inspection.

We are proud of the good relationships we develop with families, and welcome informal discussions at any time throughout the year. Appointments can be arranged with Mark and Monika at short notice, to discuss any issues related to your child. Mark is also available at the school gate each day for more informal discussions.

We work closely with families and the relevant Local Authority to ensure that each child with additional needs receives the support and guidance they require to be successful. Our SENCo and Assistant Principal ensure that our highly qualified and experienced staff deliver learning in a way that ensures the requirements of a child’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) are fulfilled.
