Bales is an Independent School and Sixth Form College for ages 11-18. We accept UK and international students. Most of our students have grown up locally, with around 10% being international.
We are located in Kensal Rise W10 near to Ladbroke Grove, Queens Park and Maida Vale. The school is easily accessible on the Overground (Kensal Rise), Bakerloo (Kensal Green/Queens Park), and on many bus routes such as 18, 23, 52, 70, 228, 295, 316, 452.
Students join for Key Stage 3 years 7-9, GCSE courses in year 10 or 11, and A Level courses in year 12 or 13 as well as retakes over 1 year.
Our main entry points are years 7, 10 and 12. However, we accept students into any year group if vacancies are available.
The school is open for visits and interviews now (with social distancing).
At Bales, we value the individual’s potential and put all our efforts into helping each child grow personally and academically.
Our teachers are committed to fully supporting each child on their learning journey, in an environment conducive to learning. At the same time, students are encouraged to develop their own independent working patterns. The Bales student is hard-working, aspirational, organised and independent.
Our co-curricular programme throughout the school supports and extends students’ learning in the classroom. We undertake regular local trips and visits to venues in and around London, welcome visiting speakers whose expertise covers a range of interests, and also arrange annual residential trips to European destinations. Your son or daughter will experience an education at Bales that will enable them to thrive in our ever-changing world.
We look forward to meeting you.
