The teams will be supported by some year 11 & 12 students. Thursday after-noon will be the year 9, 10 & 11 students’ turn as they battle to win their tournament!
Natural history museum year 7 visit
On Friday 5th October year 7 took part in a visit to the British Museum accompanied by Dr Watkins, Mr Corcut and Ms Cranston. Students were divided into three groups and took part in a scavenger hunt of ancient artefacts. They needed to find objects from Roman, Greek and Egyptian history, filling out a series of sheets to collect information. Artefacts included the Rosetta Stone, statues of Roman emperors, the Greek Nereid Monument and Sarcophagi of Egyptian pharaohs. After lunch in the school room the group returned for dismissal at 3.15pm having had a thoroughly enjoyable and educational day.
