ART at Bales Independent School
Studying Art & Design at Bales exposes children to a variety of techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printing and ceramics. The quality of artwork produced by students across all year groups is outstanding – some images are shown below. Each child is encouraged to explore and experiment while developing their technical art-making skills.
MUSIC
Mr Pinson is a composer and musician, holding a BMus with first class honours form the London Centre of Contemporary Music where he studied composition for media, guitar performance and music production.
He is also an experienced performer and teacher. His main instruments are guitar, bass, ukulele, keys/piano and vocals.
He recently worked as a scoring assistant on the feature film ‘Ghost Stories’ starring Martin Freeman. This soundtrack has been performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra and recorded at Air Studio in London.
DRAMA
Drama is taught on weekly rotation with music in the junior school.
All junior students take part in drama.
