UK Education System

The UK education system is divided into four main levels:
- Primary Education – Ages 5-11, comprising of Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2.
- Secondary Education – Ages 11-16, comprising of Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4, end qualification GCSE.
- Further Education – Ages 16+, comprising of Key Stage 5, end qualification A-Level / GNVQ / BTEC etc.
- Higher Education – Ages 18+, ordinarily Bachelors / Masters / Research degrees taught at universities.
Bales College offers Secondary Education (GCSE) in the lower school and Further Education (A-Level) in the sixth form.
